CHINESE COCKTAIL INDULGENCE AT PALM COURT
Enchanting Encounters with the “Four Great Beauties of Ancient
“Guifei” – Rose wine with Lychee Liqueur
“Xishi” – Osmanthus Wine with Peach Flavour
Xishi was famed as a woman of extraordinary natural beauty and charm. The cocktail named “Xishi”, a blend of osmanthus wine, peach liqueur, apple juice and a hint of fresh lime, is as appealing as the legendary lady, exuding a sense of freshness and sweetness.
The story of the courageous act of Wang Zhaojun, who ventured into matrimony with a man from an opposing, foreign kingdom to secure the peace and safety of her own nation, has inspired our chief bartender to pick rice wine as the base for this cocktail, then add a dash of Monin mint, fresh ginger and lemon and top with ginger beer for the creation of “Zhaojun”. The right balance of the full-bodied and aromatic rice wine and ginger produces a strong flavour to resemble a perfect marriage.
“Diaochan” – Osmanthus Wine with Pineapple Vodka
Diaochan appeared as a heroine in the Chinese literacy classic -“Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. You will be surprised by “Diaochan”, a refreshing blend of osmanthus wine and exotic ingredients including pineapple vodka, cranberry juice and fresh lime.
Be enchanted with an inspiring array of Chinese-style cocktails and indulge in the world of fine paintings and sculptures by contemporary Chinese artists at The Palm Court. All cocktails are priced at HK$78 each (subject to 10% service charge).
