Introducing Recipes of Good Living at The Food Gallery
(Hong Kong, March 2014) The Food Gallery (formerly known as ‘L’Eclipse’) is the newly rebranded interactive dining restaurant at The Langham, Hong Kong which boasts a bright, modern ambience and extensive selection of international cuisine designed to delight those who appreciate the good things in life.
“We wanted to create an elevated experience which goes above and beyond the traditional buffet experience that diners are used to,” said Executive Chef Food and Beverage Mark Bannon. “Our vision for The Food Gallery is to be a stylish lifestyle-centric eatery where people can come and enjoy memorable meals using the very best produce and ingredients sourced both locally and internationally.”
“So we added a seafood mountain featuring 10 varieties of fresh seafood, a whole roasted whole suckling pig, a gourmet cheese and charcuterie corner, two daily roasts, a series of ‘to-order’ items, such as grilled oysters, steamed market fresh fish, char-grilled meats and fish, as well as pan-fried foie gras. “
A series of gastronomic corners fuelled by culinary creativity have been introduced. Here busy open kitchens are in full sight where Chinese, Asian and Western fare is deftly prepared with generous helpings of flair and drama.
Boasting one of the largest seafood selections in Hong Kong during dinner, diners will feast on two types of freshly shucked oysters daily, Boston lobsters, Boston lobster claws, Australian snapper crabs, Alaskan crab legs, Pacific tiger prawns, Sweden crayfish lobsters, Australian Balmain bugs, Canadian rock crabs, New Zealand green lipped mussels and Iceland sea whelks.
Barramundi, Mangrove Snapper, Yellow Mullet and Baby Seabass are just a few choices available at our fresh market fish corner where diners can select their catch of the day and have it steamed, Chinese style.
Meat carving, char-grilled to order seafood and meat as well as pan-fried foie gras can be found in the Fire corner.
Highlights include a whole roasted Suckling Pig, Miso Marinated Lamb Chop or Lamb T-bone, Black Bean Marinated Halibut, Sirloin Steak, Balsamic Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions, King Prawn, Garlic Basil Butter and Scallops, Pomello and Coriander.
