St. Paddy’s and Sevens Fever Hit Main St. Deli

(Hong Kong, March 2014) Hong Kong’s favourite New York-style deli, Main St. Deli, goes into overdrive this month with two popular and much-loved celebrations - St. Patrick’s Day and Rugby Sevens.

St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on 17 March, commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This year, Executive Chef Food and Beverage Mark Bannon has created a special a four-course Irish-themed menu priced at HK$318* per person, starting with an Ireland Tasting Platter featuring Irish smoked salmon, smoked haddock, Dublin Bay prawn with parsley dressing and baby leek compote, followed by a choice of Irish Stew Lamb or Guinness Braised Ox-tail and Baileys Cream Brulee as a sweet finale.

“It wouldn’t be St. Paddy’s Day without Ireland’s favourite drink so we have Guiness on tap available for guests to enjoy,” said Chef Mark.

Another event that whips Hong Kong into a frenzy, every March, is the Rugby Sevens. On 28-30 March, tuck into a wide selection of comfort food and beers post match. The Rugby Sevens Party Menu includes Buffalo Wings, Curly Fries, Crispy Mini Crab Cakes, Quesadillas, Mulberry Street Pizza, BBQ Baby Back Ribs, signature Deli cakes and more.

Rugby Sevens Party Menu is priced at HK$1,108*, HK$1,598* and HK$2,118* for four, six and eight people respectively. Guests can enjoy unlimited soft drinks at an additional HK$38* per person or HK$98* per person for unlimited beer.

*Prices are subject to 10% service charge.
