ULTIMATE AUTUMN DELIGHTS AT THE LANGHAM, HONG KONG


(Hong Kong, October 2013) With a noticeable lightness in the air, a change of season also brings around a change of palate. Michelin-starred T’ang Court Executive Chef Kwong Wai Keung and his expert team are delighted to present a wide selection of tantalising autumn delicacies in October and November featuring sumptuous hairy crab, seasonal eel and other delicacies for guests to enjoy.

Crab aficionados can now savour hairy crabs sourced from Yangcheng Lake, famed as the home of the high-quality hairy crabs. Guests can sample the Steamed Hairy Crab to experience the famed dish in its purest form. Another succulent option is Steamed Egg White with Sliced Lobster, Bird’s Nest, Hairy Crab Meat and Roe that showcases fine ingredients including egg white and bird’s nest which are known to be nourishing to the skin. End your meal with a cup of ginger tea to balance the metabolism as the Chinese believe crabs chill the body.

Autumn is also a prime time for Giant Mottled Eel which is the largest type of eel of its kind and is only available after mid-autumn. Highlights include Double Boiled Eel with Chicken, Pork and Chinese Herbs Soup which is known to be good for the health and immune system according to the traditional Chinese medicine. Other not-to-be missed dishes include Braised Sliced Eel with Black Mushrooms, Roasted Pork, Garlic and Turnip where all ingredients are braised until tender and juicy.
