(Hong Kong, January 2007) 2007 is a great start to the year for the Langham Hotel Hong Kong as it receives TWO acknowledgements from the influential US magazine “Travel + Leisure” as one of the World’s Top 500 Hotels and from Questex Asia as one of the 15 Network World Asia Enterprise All Stars respectively.
In its January 2007 issue, the renowned US Travel + Leisure magazine cited the Langham Hotel Hong Kong as one of the World’s Top 500 Hotels, based on its European décor & atmosphere, location and innovative menus. The Langham Hotel is one of only nine of the top hotels from Hong Kong that made the prestigious list of 2007. Introduced 5 years ago, the “T+L 500” is the definitive guide to the world’s greatest hotels.
On top of the Travel + Leisure’s recognition, the Langham Hotel Hong Kong was also selected as one of the Network World Asia Enterprise All Stars – the first ever Asian All Star Awards. The hotel’s recent Internet Protocol (IP) telephony project has successfully offered a range of voice and potential multimedia features in all guestrooms via IP Phones and allowed the hotel to simplify network management challenge. The scope of the project, innovative use of technology to solve the business problem, value of the project to the company and the project’s ability to stand as an example to its industry and its potential as a role model for other industries all met the criteria as set by the judging panel which consists of CIOs (Chief Information Officers) and editors from the Network World Asia of Questex Asia.
“The inclusion on the Travel + Leisure World’s Top 500 Hotels is definitely an encouragement to all staff and management as we continuously strive to exceed the exacting standards set by The Leading Hotels of the World, of which we are the only member in Hong Kong. This recognition now becomes a driving force for us to strive for an even higher level of standard in the new year and putting us right up there with the best Hong Kong has to offer ,” says Nigel Roberts, Managing Director; “the IP telephony project has reinforced our position as a leader in bringing a rich high-tech experience to our guests and I am pleased to learn that it can be set as an example to the hotel industry and recognized as a potential role model for other industries.”
The Langham Hotel Hong Kong recently opened a brand new all day interactive restaurant L’Eclipse at the lobby level and has already received an overwhelming response from our discerning guests .With the guestroom renovation project in the pipeline expected to be completed by the 3rd quarter of 2007, the Langham Hotel Hong Kong is looking forward to another exciting and fruitful year.
